Library 21’s staff of librarians hailed from 15 states, Canada, Mexico, and Germany. Martin reported:

Among the exhibits of a notably friendly Fair, LIBRARY 21 was especially renowned for its friendly staff. Much of the 1.8 million attendance...can be traced to the efforts of the staff in promoting the feeling of cheerful friendliness. If it can be said that the public image of the librarian has been improved, the credit should go to the LIBRARY 21 Exhibit staff (15).
