Billed as the "space-age world's fair," the Century 21 Exposition offered its visitors mind-blowing experiences, including a ten-minute simulated voyage to Earth's neighboring galaxies. They saw cities of the future whose transport systems made use of huge rockets that took off and landed vertically. For individual use, there were jet helicopters, personal gyrocopters, aerial scooters, and jet cars that moved on cushions of air.
